“Create an e-mail campaign to generate maximum engagement and increase ticket sales amongst recipients through promotions related to the film.”
ODEON cinemas would be showing the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the long awaited spin-off of the Star Wars movie franchise. In order to stimulate consumers to pre-order their tickets, Yourzine supported ODEON by developing a two-phase campaign:
1.Sending the Solus pre-release mailing. This mailing was sent off in the weeks prior to the film’s release,
2.Followed by a follow-up e-mail just before the release date that advertised a competition promising an exclusive reward to ensure maximum engagement.
In order to maximise e-mail’s potential as a channel, Yourzine used the Selligent platform.
The campaign consisted of a pre-release, a follow-up release e-mail and a competition. An animated image of the Death Star with an integrated ‘click to win’ button to lead users to a dedicated landing page was used to encourage people to enter the competition. This landing page would show a message telling the visitor whether or not they had won a prize. This was ODEON’s first time implementing this type of feature from a technical perspective.
