Senior Programmer

Availability: immediately
Duration: 1 year contract including 2 month probation period
Working hours: 5 days a week, 8 hours a day

What we are looking for

As a candidate you should be a specialist in building the back-end of Websites, mainly CMS systems and custom web applications. You will be asked to use PHP, MYSQL and other languages to develop these platforms. Besides programming, your tasks will also include leading the team and helping to decide how to develop and describe this in clear documentation. Therefore the ability to work in a team is also very important.

- Develop websites using open-source CMS systems;
- Develop databases for our clients;
- Design and develop custom web tools ands applications;
- Guide other programmers in the company;
- Be able to work in a team;
- Be able to turn idea’s into technical specification documents.

Requirement and Qualifications

We expect the candidate to have proven experience in being a web developer or software engineer in WEB related development projects. When working with PHP, MYSQL and other programs developing Web applications, the candidate must have the ability and skill to manage the whole project. Of course, being motivated and fast-learning is also very important.

- Fluent in oral and written English and Mandarin is a plus;
- A minimum of 4 years’ web application development related experience;
- Have excellent programming skills in PHP;
- Have experience in database development using MYSQL;
- Have experience in Linux / Unix;
- Have experience in leading a (small) technical team;
- Familiar with XML and ASP is a plus;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience with Drupal, Joomla, Word press and other open-source CMS Systems;
- Familiar with HTML, CSS and Javascript;
- Be willing to work from our office for the duration of the projects;
- University study background with Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, software programming is a plus.
