Online Activities of Chinese Internet Users
CNNIC’s report on Internet Development in China (July 2008) revealed what Chinese internet users do online. The top ten internet applications are: online music, online news, instant message, online video, search engine, email, online game, blog/personal space, forum/BBS and online shopping.
Among the top ten applications, three top entertainment applications—online music, online video and online game are listed. Entertainment is still one of the main Internet activities for Chinese netizens.
